Juvenile water and connate water are two distinct types of groundwater with different origins. Juvenile water is “new” water that enters the Earth’s hydrosphere for the first time, often from deep within the Earth through volcanic activity or geological processes. Connate water, on the other hand, is water that was trapped within sedimentary rocks at the time of their formation and has remained isolated since then.
