Laurasia was a massive, ancient supercontinent in the Northern Hemisphere that existed approximately 335 to 175 million years ago. It formed part of the larger Pangaea supercontinent before breaking apart into modern-day North America, Europe, and Asia (excluding India). It was named by geologist Alexander du Toit.
